Junior

In this group, swimmers will begin to make the transition from the Junior to Senior group. Swimmers will continue to work on technique while building their aerobic endurance. Swimmers are encouraged to attend 3-4 workouts per week.

Age: Minimum age of 10 (swimmers will typically range from 10-14 years old)

Focus: Proper technique while building aerobic endurance.

Typical Practice Structure (1 hour and 30 Minutes):
15 Minutes of Warm-up
30 Minutes of Kicking, Pulling, Drilling (technique), or a Combination
45 Minutes of a Main-set
(with occasional time set aside for games)

Equipment Needed:
Swim Cap
Goggles
Swim Suit

Requirements for moving from Junior to Senior:
Must be 13 years old
Swim all strokes and turns legally
Be able to use the pace clock
Be ready socially, emotionally, and physically
Recommendation of the Junior Coach

Move-up Set:
10 x 100 Freestyle @ 1:45 or 8 x 100 IM @ 2:00
